Every year I fall deeper in love with Autumn.
The pinching chill of the wind against your skin as soon as you step foot outside the door. The way the leaves seem to adopt the vibrant hues of the early sunsets. The abundant return of woolly hats and scarves and jumpers. The rosiness of cheeks and wild, untamed hair. The way a cold day has the bizarre effect of making every thought and every feeling we experience seem more intense, more exciting, more present.
In Autumn, my dormant sense of adventure starts to stir and I feel as if I’m finally experiencing life in all of its potential, as opposed to the diluted, paltry imitation of life I accept for myself normally.
